A Sketch Turned Into Print

Each journal is carefully crafted by hand, making it a truly unique piece of functional art. The sunflower design began as one of my own sketches, which I then transformed into a screen for printing. Every cover is individually hand-pulled, so no two prints are ever exactly the same. The natural variations in ink and texture are what give each journal its one-of-a-kind charm.

To add even more individuality, I print on a variety of papers—sturdy card stock, tree-free paper, and lemongrass paper—each giving a slightly different finish and feel. Once the cover is complete, I hand-bind 20 pages of high-quality sketching paper, using a traditional stitched method that’s both strong and flexible.

Because of the handmade process, some ink transfer may appear on the inside of the cover. To balance this, I’ve added a colored second page, which both protects the interior and enhances the design.
